There was two of us we split 4 roll and were full. The tiger roll sounded so unique with pickled radish and egg however it was almost tasteless. The cherry blossom roll was very good the lemon on top was tasty and refreshing. The crunch roll unfortunately just had too much rice. We went on Friday night at 6:30 and there wasn't a wait for a table. There was only one sushi chef so food took a bit to come out. Price was pretty standard across most sushi restaurants. It was good, nice to try a new place but nothing to really rave about. The inside felt more like a chair restaurant not so much of a lounge.

We enjoyed the sushi options at this restaurant and the prices were very reasonable. Personally, I like spicy sushi so the large plate you see in my photos are all spicy options and we really liked the roll called the Vegas so then we ordered two more rolls and one of them was the Vegas and one of them was the Detroit roll. Everything was very tasty, and the food came out very quickly, and the restaurant was fairly empty because we were there early in the evening, but our waitress was very friendly and helpful

I LOVE this place! I honestly used to work here. The owner mr Kim is so passionate he comes in every night to be sure all products are fresh. The restaurant always has mood lighting which is perfect for an intimate date night. You can even use these awesome comfy couches in the back for dinning. My favorite rolls are the volcano, the golden bridge and classic Cali. They offer baked sushi, classic sushi, house rolls, and some of the best sashimi and nigiri within driving distance in my option. I love Sakana because they also offer entrees if you love sushi and have loved ones that do not. They have everything from ramen to rice bowls. I will say the teriyaki udon is a personal favorite. Portions on entrees are large so they're great as appetizers or to share if you want to add them to your sushi dinner. The drinks at Sakana are on the sweeter side but still very packed with... flavor ;) they also will not hesitate to make you a classic old fashioned or marg if that's what you're looking for. Their bar is limited but they always go above and beyond to accommodate guests. I would recommend Sakana to someone who's visiting town or looking for a good place to take a hot date or a business meeting. The intimate atmosphere allows for good conversation and GREAT food. While sushi is typically a more expensive meal they do offer some rolls as little as $9. Vegetarian rolls are also HIGHLY affordable which I love as a palate cleanser. I can't say enough good things about this place. Since it is small there's typically only one or two servers so you'll enjoy a slower dinning experience but I'd say that just adds to the intimacy. Order the edemamae or some incredible gyoza and enjoy your night.

Sakana holds it down as it's own unique vibe and great place for happy hour. Not an upscale bougie vibe like alter ego along the restaurant strip, but an awesome lowkey vibe with a DJ spinning oldies on some of the weekends!! The rolls are always on point and kinda large. It's more of a takeout place it seems based on my frequent rounds here, but they've a dedicated, hardworking, and polite staff ready to welcome and serve you! Personally can't go wrong with a Sapporo silver or one of their cocktails, including a delicious pear cocktail! Chicken tempura always hits the spot and the crunch and breading is done right by that sauce served with it! They always make us great daddy's girl and dragon rolls.
